CONCEPT

 

Cleansed is a story about love, and how love survive at the darkest times. This production looks at different types of relationships, set within the walls of a modern city run by Tinker who represents society. It takes the topic of love and relationships and shows how society reacts to people that do not live their lives according to the Bible.

 

The characters are abused verbally and physically by society, because they do not fit into its set norms, loss of articulation is show through dismemberment and promises of love are put to the test on several occasion. There is an ongoing struggle between feelings and social acceptance and the characters will do anything to be with their loved once.

 

Cleansed is a theatre production that challenges its audience, an IN-YER-FACE style performance that confronts social norms and makes you think twice before judging someone/something too quickly.
